Peshawar. Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan seeks to assure China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) investment is safe and healthy for expansion to Pakistan. Meanwhile Pakistani Baloch rebels have sent a contrary message by attacking Chinese projects targeted areas. Proxy of Pakistani state, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), fighting groups in Afghanistan, including Gwadar port, who seek to separate Balochistan province from Pakistan, have been protesting against Chinese investments in Gwadar harbour. Baloch residents are demanding that Pakistani Army has harassed the mineral and energy resources of the region but not disturbing the facilities to the state accordingly. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), is an important part of Beijing's BRI. Security threats have increased deployment of Pakistan Army to protect the development of Gwadar port from rebel threats in Balochistan especially. The biggest Baloch rebel attack in recent years has claimed to have killed more than hundred Pakistani soldiers and officers in two separate attacks on frontier core bases in Balochistan's Panjgur and Noski districts. During a meeting with top Chinese officials, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Pakistani Prime Minister had said it would welcome the CPEC expansion. The BLA says it is referred to as "Operation Ganjal". In which 16 people were killed by rebels in the attacks on Nuski and Panjgur. The army disputed the BL deaths toll and two attacks on the Pakistan-Iran border area that killed only nine of their soldiers. Army claims that 3 terrorists have been kill.ed in retaliation action.
